About the Photographer

John is a prominent Irish Photographer and published author based in County Donegal; he started taking photographs at an early age with a camera given to him by his parents. He has a unique vision for capturing nature at its very best in his photography and this gallery provides samples of his extensive portfolio of Landscape and Marine Photography. A lot of his photos include views of Errigal Mountain, the Poisoned Glen, Dunlewey as well as Arranmore Island, Gweedore and the Rosses.

John is currently the Editor of the Irish Skipper, Ireland's leading marine publication which caters for our fishermen here in Ireland as well as those in the UK and much of Europe. John also writes a monthly column for an Angling magazine called the Irish Angler's Digest as well as supplying numerous images for national publications and the local press in Donegal.

Most of his time has been spent living on the rocky North West coast of Donegal in the fishing village of Burtonport, perhaps this is why a lot of his photos are of marine life and of this rugged and often ferocious coastline, the ultimate great outdoors.

John is also the editor of TakeOff, the Donegal airport magazine, which provides visitors with a picturesque and informative window of what the county has on offer.
